Mawlid - A Time of Love |

This picture was taken during the first night of Rabi’ Al-Awwal - the month in which the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was born.
In Yemen, all over the country in various mosques and homes, people rejoice while remembering the time in which the Prophet Muhammad was sent by God as a mercy to the world. They gather and sing poems of love and longing. It’s a serene and beautiful event that I was honored enough to be a part of.
